Fortini® biscuits were born in a delicatessen in Forte dei Marmi in 1991. Between 1994 and 2001 they began to spread throughout the country thanks to word of mouth and a careful commercial policy. In 2001, they were the first Italian artisan biscuits to be packaged in single portions (without adding preservatives or flavourings), which led to a significant increase in production for both the domestic market and the first exports.
